It’s the time of year where asynchronous shifts in day light saving time wreak havoc on cross-timezone meetings. A monthly meeting with people on the US West Coast, in New Zealand and hereabouts was nicely balanced until now (9am in New Zealand, noon in the US, albeit the previous day, me at 9 in the evening in the middle of it).
The meetings are scheduled by New Zealand time. Since the last meeting we moved one hour ahead towards daylight saving time, and before the next meeting they will move one hour back leaving DST behind, shifting my 21:00 meeting by two hours to 23:00. I hope I look somewhat awake during my presentation, scheduled shortly before midnight.
