This is something to consider for my next laptop, a ThinkPad with Linux pre-installed. Linux announced it will be a standard option for all their models from the ThinkStation and ThinkPad P series. My current Mac is 6 years old, and I suspect somewhere in the next 12 months needs replacement. Another Macbook Pro isn’t a given, although I hear next year’s series might be a return to before the current series, one I am not at all enthusiastic about. I bought a Linux Lenovo once before, it is in my stack of laptops for travel to countries with rules in place that make me want to leave my main machine at home. That one is too large for every day use however.
