Mars Sunset

Posted on 30 November, 2018
by Ton Zijlstra

In honor of InSight‘s landing this week on Mars, a 2015 image by Curiosity, of a Martian sunset. It’s early days, and InSight is focused on what happens below the surface of Mars, but looking forward to more images made by the new robot on Mars.

About

Blog Interdependent Thoughts maintained since 2002 by Ton Zijlstra.
European citizen in a networked world. Based in the Netherlands, living in Europe, working globally. There are no Others. There is just me and many of you.

I write about how our digital and networked world changes how we work, learn, decide and organize. I explore the tools and strategies that help us navigate the networked world. I am passionate about increasing people's ability to act (knowledge), and their ability to change (learning). Key-words: open data, open government, fablabs, making, complexity, networked agency, networked learning, ethics by design.

    • Algorithms That Work For Me, Not Commodotise Me Stephanie Booth, a long time blogging connection, has been writing about reducing her Facebook usage and increasing her blogging. She says at one point As the current “delete Facebook” wave hits, I wonder if there will be any kind of rolling back, at any time, to a less algorithmic way to access information, and people. […]

    • On Open Data and the Panama Papers Two questions I was asked In the past days people asked me questions about the Panama Papers and how it is connected to open data. Is a leak like the Panama Papers helpful or not to the cause of open data? Is it reasonable that the journalists don’t plan to publish all leaked files? Before […]
