Yes, I’ve been pointed to Foam. Agree w.r.t. closed source, but similarly think Foams pre-assumed GitHub integration off-putting. Ok w Obisidian for now as ‘just’ a view on a local folder of text files.

  1. The editing and cross- linking in Foam doesn’t need git at all – you could for example run it in a Dropbox folder to give you backup without publishing. 1/
