For fun and comparison I also created a lego version.

About

Blog Interdependent Thoughts maintained since 2002 by Ton Zijlstra.
European citizen in a networked world. Based in the Netherlands, living in Europe, working globally. There are no Others. There is just me and many of you.

I write about how our digital and networked world changes how we work, learn, decide and organize. I explore the tools and strategies that help us navigate the networked world. I am passionate about increasing people's ability to act (knowledge), and their ability to change (learning). Key-words: open data, open government, fablabs, making, complexity, networked agency, networked learning, ethics by design.

    • Was Second Life Ahead, Or Metaverse Nothing Really New? Bookmarked Second Life was ahead of its time (by Neville Hobson) I’ve thought regularly about Second Life in the past months with all the hyped up Metaverse talk. In a Dutch post last November (machine translated link) I wrote: Sitting around a virtual table with Zuck’s avatar to have the same video call conversation on […]

    • Return to the Open Web! vs Join the Open Web! Dries Buytaert, the originator of the Drupal CMS, is pulling the plug on Facebook. Having made the same observations I did, that reducing FB engagement leads to more blogging. A year ago he set out to reclaim his blog as a thinking-out-loud space, and now a year on quits FB. I’ve seen this in a […]

    • Margot Wallström Weblog II Earlier I wrote about the new weblog of Margot Wallström, vice-president of the European Commission. Then there were no interactive components in her weblog. But now there is. Comments and trackback have been added, as promised, and also a RSS feed is now available. Ms. Wallström writes about the responses she got to her weblog […]
