Acts of the Apostles by John Sundman

A techthriller type story, in which billionaires use the world as their game board. Set in the 1990s, which makes it hard to suspend disbelief but given current Elon Musk antics is also a fun take on the tech billionaire class. The first part of a trilogy, Mind over Matter, of separate but connected and overlapping stories.

About

Blog Interdependent Thoughts maintained since 2002 by Ton Zijlstra.
European citizen in a networked world. Based in the Netherlands, living in Europe, working globally. There are no Others. There is just me and many of you.

I write about how our digital and networked world changes how we work, learn, decide and organize. I explore the tools and strategies that help us navigate the networked world. I am passionate about increasing people's ability to act (knowledge), and their ability to change (learning). Key-words: open data, open government, fablabs, making, complexity, networked agency, networked learning, ethics by design.

    • Open Data Readiness Assessment in Serbia The week before last I worked on an Open Data Readiness Assessment (ODRA) for Serbia during a week long mission to Belgrade. It is part of my work for the World Bank and done in close collaboration with the local UNDP team, at the request of the Serbian directorate for e-government (part of the ministry […]

    • Flickr/Yahoo: How Many Feet to Shoot Left? In the past week a storm raged through Flickr, in the past weeks and months we’ve seen a couple more already. I’d think that Flickr would not have many feet left to shoot themselves in. Apparantly Yahoo’s lawyers (whom I guess are the initiatiors of these cock-ups) however are good at finding more feet for […]

    • The True Impact of Social Software During the excellent Reboot conference there was naturally a lot of talk about technology. The true impact of social software of course is not the technology (though a lot of fun to play with!), but in the way these tools help us build new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with other people (and that got […]

    • Corporate Blogging Dina Mehta gives us a great description of how she is winning over her partner to blogging, with questions that speak to his attitude as a die-hard ‘company man’. She then goes on citing yet another of McGee’s great musings on how to treat blogs in corporate surroundings. At the same time Martin Roell is […]
