Another busy week, mostly due to travel. Travel takes energy, and I need time afterwards to digest the things I encountered. It also disrupts usual rhythms during a week, meaning things get shifted around, and stuff may fall out of sight.

This week I

  • started off ill but felt mostly fine again Monday afternoon
  • took a deeper look at the financial reports of the foundation I recently joined the board of, and talked to the director about them.
  • prepared a presentation for next week and discussed it with the event organisers.
  • had the usual client meetings
  • facilitated the quarterly meeting of the Dutch tactical council on EU data regulations
  • drove to Luxembourg with colleague J., and back.
  • spent two days in Luxembourg at the European Open Data Days, with clients I and J, and colleagues J and P.
  • did the monthly salaries, paid some company invoices
  • did some board work for another entity I’m involved in.
  • discussed an upcoming Systems Convening training with the organisers.
  • had several conversations with colleague P w.r.t. some director level tasks and issues in my company.
  • took Y to her singing lesson.
  • cycled into town Saturday afternoon where Y with her singing group had a small public gig at a local market.
  • joined the annual ‘winter walk’, which usually is in early spring, of my old fraternity. This time at the coast near Haarlem, where we walked through the dunes during a lovely sunny afternoon followed by a group dinner near the beach. Good to catch-up with life events of the past year.
