We took the week off, and spent most of it in the hills of Zuid-Limburg, the southernmost part of the Netherlands. We drove down on Monday, visiting the three country border point (previously 4) on the top of Vaalserberg, the highest hill in the Netherlands (322, not the highest point in the kingdom, which is Mount Scenery on Saba). Afterwards we checked into our cabin in the new holiday park in Euverem near Gulpen. The weather was nice, and we enjoyed the hills and the nearby city of Maastricht. On Friday we made our way back north, arriving just in time for Y’s swimming lesson at the end of the afternoon.

During the weekend Y and I prepared the planters (adding 3 as well) on the balcony and the roof terrace for this year’s planting. At Y’s request a strong emphasis on strawberries, but also carrots and radishes.
