This is a handy little webclipper that grabs a page and downloads it in markdown. Just yesterday evening I thought about making something that simply grabs the content of a page and stores it to an inbox folder on my laptop. So I don’t have to copy paste things myself. But it already exists. The clipper has settings so you can add things like the URL you clip from is incorporated in the saved markdown file.
Great tip Ton!
@metbril actually in the settings you can switch it to download the images locally as well. So I’m clipping the images to a local folder.
@metbril at least the Firefox clipper has that settings, not sure about the version for other browsers.
@ton I use FF myself so will check for the setting. ♂️
I used to use Bear for this purpose, but that only really worked in Safari. As the author of MarkDownload notes, it may not work with all web pages, and that is something I found with Bear too, but that’s more to do with how the web pages are written.
