I am saddened and worried by the news that Arjen Kamphuis has been missing for 2 weeks. He was last seen checking out of a hotel in Bodø, Norway on August 20th. Arjen is a privacy and transparency advocate, and cyber security specialist. We move in similar circles and regularly bump into each other, sometimes on train stations across the country, resulting in long conversations en route. [UPDATE Sept 12th] Norwegian police announced they have found some of Arjen’s belongings, including it seems his ID. They still keep all options open, deliberate disappearance, accident or crime.
