While I would love to say that this is true (FIRST spam), it isn't. Spam in different forms is not too uncommom in Second Life. Most outbursts in the past have been small scale, though. This was the first Spam attack focused on a classic pyramind scheme, though. I am afraid there will be many copy cats in the near future.

I think the title of the picture is meant to mean that it was the first spam Rainer received in SL.

I'd say that the fact that SL is being spammed, in multiple forms as you rightly point out, make it qualify as social software. Was it Clay Shirkey that defined social software as 'anything worth spamming'?
