Welcome!

Welcome! I have been writing in this space since November 2002 about knowledge work, knowledge management, and the ways we develop tools and strategies to navigate a networked world. My background is in electronic engineering and philosophy of science, which reflects the crossroads I like to be on; people and the technology they use. I consider myself to be a networked individual, working in a networked world. I spend my time with different groups in different settings, but on topics that feel very much connected, at least to me.

Things I'm involved in...

Proven Partners

Proven Partners is the consultancy firm I work for. We are a networked organisation, helping clients to change from a knowledge perspective. There is also a company blog

Dutch Connection

A group of people 'living within reach of Amsterdam' getting together to find ways to collaborate, co-create, co-learn, and network. This business development club has a collaborative workspace< and blog.

BlogWalk

BlogWalk is a series of salon-like face to face meetings of bloggers. It's aim is to jumpstart deep conversations around weblogs as a medium. The first BlogWalk was held in March 2004 at the Telematica Institute, University of Twente campus, Netherlands. Attendance is by invitation only. See the BlogWalk website to learn when the next event will be.

Knowledge Networker With Lilia Efimova and Piers Young we have started to map sources, cases and the like around what some refer to as personal KM, and we tentatively dubbed Personal Something Management. There is a collaborative blog and accompanying Wiki.

Jettison

I am slowly working my way from using Windows and other MS products to an all open-source environment on Linux. In the weblog Jettison I keep track of my steps on this path.

GKR
I am a contributor to the Global Knowledge Review. Ten times a year Global Knowledge Review will gather the latest thinking of knowledge workers, knowledge experts and academics from across the globe to reveal fresh perspectives on the knowledge world.
